§§ – Legal Conditions

Ever since the first successful IVF-treatment was completed with the birth of Louise Brown in 1978 in Great Britain, the discussion - for and against IVF-treatment – continues to the present day.

The legal situation was specified on January 1, 1991 by the Embryo Protection Law.
It regulates who and for what purpose and how embryos may be handled.

The cryo conservation of embryos, donation of egg cells and surrogacy are forbidden. Experiments with embryos are strictly forbidden.

Only doctors especially train in In-vitro-Fertilization may practice in this field. You can be certain: All fertilized egg cells will only be transferred into the uterus or fallopian tube of the mother. We handle all remaining egg and semen cells responsibly and our training meets the requirements specified by law.

Furthermore your files subject to data privacy protection.

In the hope of successful teamwork,

Dr. Jan van Uem and your fertility support team
