Info
Diverse causes
There isn't always a physical impairment involved when desired pregnancy is not achieved. The problem could be related to both parties, the man and the woman.
Life circumstances, especially stress, excessive weight, alcohol and coffee consumption as well as smoking have a negative affect on fertility.
Female related causes
Faulty egg cell maturation
The hormone balance is very important for conception preparedness. Hormone malfunction can lead to faulty egg cell maturation, lack of ovulation and inadequate creation of corpus luteum.
Often the combination of increased values of male hormone (Androgen) and fallopian tube cysts are the causes. Other factors like being under or overweight, significant weight change in a short time, extreme physical activity, disruption of the thyroid function, tumor (extremely rare), medication and stress can disrupt the hormone balance.
Fallopian tube related fertility difficulties
In a third of the cases the fallopian tubes are the cause: They can be partially or completely closed.
Most frequently the fallopian tubes are damaged from infections. Other possible causes are previous tubal pregnancies, growth causing closure after an operation or spontaneous growth of the uterine mucous membrane (Endometrioses).
